Collegio San Carlo .Lib - Milan

On Corso Magenta, Milan, inside the prestigious Collegio San Carlo in Milan, GM Architecture designed and built a bookshop.
Starting with a green theme, they created a welcoming and natural feel. They used natural materials such as poplar blockboard, painted with a water-based varnish to prevent any harmful chemical emissions. The only colors used were red and blue, a reference to the college's institutional colors.
The backrests were crafted from aluminum, recalling images of nature to convey a sense of tranquility. Finally, every detail was carefully considered, from the signage to the painted iron inserts, to enhance a book or object on display.
Great importance was given to the lighting, which is entirely recessed into the wood with dimmable lighting details.
